When does a two-year-old behind the wheel with a fistful of expired credit cards sound like a good idea?

For Jeannie, it was the best solution she’d heard in Forever. Just like the rest of us, the last few months (and years) had felt like an unending game of Bad News Dodgeball. After a long illness, her mother had passed away.

Her grandson’s medicine was delivered, and all was on the way to being okay. Until Jeannie got the flu herself. There were adult remedies available to cover up the two weeks of symptoms, but somehow her spirit still felt like, ‘What Next?’

Enter the two-year-old behind the steering wheel. Grandson Max’s favourite possession was his red, toddler-sized Cozy Coupe, in which he liked to run daily errands (without leaving the front room. His parents had even equipped Max with two expired cash cards, so he could mimic paying via Tap when he did his imaginary Timmy’s runs, complete with him emitting ‘BEEP’ sound when he reached his virtual drive-through window.

Max - ‘To the drugstore...”

What for? ‘medicine for grandma.’
